How can your strengths help you with stress?

1 min read

Stress occurs when you perceive the demands of a situation to be greater than your resources or capacity to meet those demands.

Because your strengths are internal resources that you can draw on to bring your best, they can really help with stressful or challenging situations.

So if you're experiencing a challenge in any area of your life, or something that is causing you stress, reconnect with your strengths and think about how you can use those strengths as resources to help you rise to the demands of the challenge.

Look back over your strengths and you will likely notice at least two that can be especially helpful to you in navigating the situation you are in.

By doing this, you can be at your best more often, which can help you to reduce stress and create better outcomes.
